Happy Hour specials? Check. Awesome thai food? Check. In house band that kicks ass? Check. Parking? uhhhhhh.... check? (You can park in the 20 min parking at night) My go to menu item? Spaghetti Mint Leaves with Beef. Trust me. It's pretty good. Service is nice, they're friendly and there's alot of servers there so it's easy to wave em down. Always had a great experience everytime I visit. The headaches after a few Adios' however... not so much.

Food wasn't that great. Worst of all - automatic 15% service charge when we had 4 adults and 2 kids under age of 3. Absolutely ridiculous!!

Since the infamous closing of Coconut Bay, I decided to give this place a try. It is located in the Yes Plaza so be prepared to fight for parking especially on the weekends. I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice and it was pretty good. It seemed to be mixed in with curry so it had a little bit of a spicy kick to it. Overall, this place has a similar vibe to Coconut Bay (RIP), the food is a bit better imo, but some of the perks are missing (broadcasting PPV events and bottomless thai teas). I will definitely come here again especially if they show the fights! :P

One of my favorite Thai food spots. Been coming here for a number of years and never disappointed and its nice that they are open late. I typically get the coconut chicken lunch special with a Thai tea or Thai coffee and my wife always gets her mint leaf chicken it's a definite main stay.

Oh Banana Bay you have been part of my young adult life and hopefully we can be together in my old age:D. If you're looking for good food with a great price and a casual environment with a pretty ambiance of a huge salt water fish tank then this would definitely be the spot:) This is mine and my boyfriend's go to Thai spot. It especially helps that they are open late because we are nocturnal gluttons. The food is great, their papaya salad and banana bay pad thai is on point. And if you catch them during the weekend... they have a live band in the evening:))) a little loud but oh so enjoyable. Their service has also improved. Thumbs up all around.

I go here monthly for Thai Boat soup noodle, it's hot and spicy. It's a bit oily but ok. I haven't had or seen anything weird yet. Service is typical in 99% of restaurants in this area, all not great, they bring you your food, then wait until you are done and then bring your bill, not worth tipping, service is minimum or a touch above self service.

Was surprised at how massive the seating area is for this Thai restaurant, then found out quickly this place gets packed! They have great food, decent prices and the service is relatively fast considering what a mad house it can get. Always a good time at Banana Bay.

Minus one star for HORRIBLE PARKING. Trust me you'll be there 20 min + either waiting for parking or waiting for reservation. But that's what happens when everyone loves the place right? Lol. I love coming here for pad thai ew. BEST dish! I've recommended it to 2 others and they fell in love with it. They've recommended it to others as well! Great restaurant. Not so great parking lol

I've been to this place four times and loved it each time. Be warned, though, you might not find parking as this area has a small parking lot for all those businesses in the area. Out of the four times I dine here, the last one gave my fianceé and I a chill due to the unfriendliness of one of the waiters. However, the first three times were great in terms of service. Each time we were there, we ordered Tom Kha. The rice is included and extra orders of rice were reasonably priced. I eat a lot of rice, so I always order more rice than the restaurant includes, but I don't mind. In terms of taste, the Tom Kha was really good. The Pad Thai was good as well. The drinks had reasonable amount of ice in it. Service was great 3 out of the 4 times we were there. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

I haven't been here for 3 years. They have good food and service in the past. The service tonight was unacceptable. The soup was cold and came out after we are done with dinner, the crying tiger steak was cold, chewy and extremely salty, papaya salad is bitter. Our server didn't offer to correct the issue. Very disappointing!

I love how this restaurant opens late, so I find myself coming here to grub late at night. There's always live band performances on the weekends so it's great entertainment while you eat & drink. I recommend the Banana Bay pad thai (it's their own little variation on pad thai and it's delicious, but they also have the original type if you're not feeling adventurous today) and the Continential fried rice. Service is a little slow at times, but mainly because they were very busy at the times I've been here.

This place was really fun and drinks are super cheap for happy hour. I wasn't that impressed with there food but I enjoyed the atmosphere and live band. It's a great place to go with friends. You have to try there sex on a pool table drink! I am definitely coming back!

Fact: (almost) everything that is Asian, is wacky. this is a great place to grab a bite to eat (especially in a large group) one Big problem is that (if you go on the weekends) you will be hard-pressed to find parking, but if you end up parking in a residential area and don't mind walking, then you (should) be fine. the Live band is nothing to gripe about. the foood is good. service to quick(-ish) and the place sells all sorts of asian edibles that will throw anyone from another country trough a loop. 4/5!

Ive been coming here for years. Its probably my fav thai place and ive been to quite a few in la, oc, ie. Service is inconsistent, sometimes i get really good service, others i have to use the asian method of hollerin'. Sometimes there is a wait, but its never too long My favs Spicy Chili Beef - Spicy, great sauce 4/5 BBQ Chicken Fried Rice - Always a consistent go to, with good friend rice 4/5 They do have a pretty good happy hour and live music during the weekends. Its a nice hangout spot for a late night snack or dinner, or just hanging out with a big group of people

Happy hour: rainbow jello shots are to die for! Not sure if they still have these, because the last few times i've gone, they didn't have them. The live band makes the atmosphere really fun and makes you want to sing along. Definitely recommend this place for a night in need of unwinding!

KING NOODLE extra crispy is always scrumptious- thick gravy and seafood decadence PAD THAI BAY- pale white rice noodles is a great alternative to pad thai (orange) BBQ CHICKEN- always my go to comfort food. fall off the bone kind of meat with a great charboiled skin :)

My first experience with Thai food during my first year of college. It was uber tasty! Their pad see ew yelp.com/biz_photos/yB86… on a recent visit was still on par as I remembered it. It's been about 5-6 years since I last visited this place. We used to go there once a quarter to celebrate end finals week. Try their combination fried rice, thai iced tea (free refills!), pad thai, and pad see ew!

I love Thai food!! Especially the traditional Pad Thai! However, this place doesn't always do it justice. Their service is sometimes a gamble, I usually end up getting a rude waiter. The music gets really loud sometimes and it makes it hard to socialize and make orders. Even though it's a fun environment (especially the koi fish at the entrance) and the food is good, the noise and service sometimes doesn't make going there really worth it.

Dinner on Saturday, 1/15/11 The restaurant was busy so the server was not always available. We ordered the spicy beef salad, the pad thai, and the tom yum koong. The salad and the soup were very spicy and the server didn't bother asking which level of spice we preferred when placing our order. The flavor of the tom yum koong was buried by all the oily spiciness. The Thai iced tea and the fresh coconut juice tasted alright. Overall, nothing special about this particular restaurant compared to other Thai restaurants.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
